Rayland Dunbar, the Financial Xpert, is passionate about her search for personal growth and development. As part of her goal to learn and experience new aspects of the business environment, she has attended numerous success summits and personal development workshops and seminars. “I find that so many of these events are aimed specifically at the businessman and I believe that there is a huge need to provide a networking and support group for the professional woman,” she says.

 

She is also passionate about educating and empowering the South African woman to take control of and manage her own financial affairs. “In fact,” she says “I really believe that the school syllabus should include a basic life skills course which teaches children from an early age how to save, budget and manage their own money”. The fact of the matter is that South Africa is considered one of the highest spend vs income countries in the world. We simply do not know how to save and plan for our future.

 

Another issue specific to South Africa is that in general, the women who make it to the top of the business ladder have had to fight so hard for their position, that they have neither the time nor the energy to share their knowledge and skills with what will be the next generation of businesswomen. “What we need,” says Rayland, “is a mentorship program which allows the young women of South Africa access to the business skills and experience which these successful women have developed throughout their business careers. The Women4Women Network is aimed at providing this opportunity.”

 

Our goal is to establish the Women4Women website as the ‘go to’ place where talented young businesswomen can seek support and advice from leading businesswomen. By its very nature, a website is both national and international. The exciting outcome of such a venture is that it would allow any woman – from anywhere, at any time - the opportunity to post a question and obtain advice from an international expert in their field.

 

Another major opportunity afforded by the Women4WomenNetwork is that it creates networking prospects between likeminded businesswomen. Simply by registering online and at no cost, the women4women website will allow you to access contacts, initiate referrals and build relationships between members, allowing you to develop a strong support group.

 

We believe that education and entrepreneurism in women will be the answer to many issues in the SA Economy. This is the motivating factor in our aligning the Women4Women Network with a charity.  Our objective is to raise the funds which will allow us to pay for the education of a few talented young women from disadvantaged backgrounds.  

 

The progress of our students will be tracked and regular updates and reports will be published on the website and our social media.  The aim is to not only improve ourselves, but to assist other promising young women to become the business leaders of tomorrow.
